Chairman of Impact Digital Radio
William is the Chairman of Impact Digital Radio. Born in Scotland, he has lived in Paisley for most of his life. His involvement in the development of radio in the West of Scotland is significant — he was one of the people mainly responsible for getting the town of Paisley originally placed on the list for commercial licensing by the then-named Radio Authority back in 1990.
William was a founder applicant for the very first Paisley local radio licence back in 1990, which was subsequently won by Paisley Local Radio and Media Services Ltd.
William continued his involvement in all future licence opportunities in the West of Scotland and was involved in many licence applications, both as an applicant and in an advisory role as a freelance broadcast consultant.
William was also Chairman and Station Manager of the special events Millennium radio station that covered the Millennium event in Paisley. Impact Digital Radio operated that special events station, which was one of the most successful special events stations ever run in the town.
William was Chairman of ISRG, the Independent Scottish Radio Group, for 30 years and continues in that role as Chair. He is also Chairman of Impact Digital Radio’s new Digital Programme Service.

We are a modern business at the absolute cutting edge of broadcasting. We are the first fully staffed AI radio station in the United Kingdom, and our software development projects — which include our proprietary advanced station management system — are groundbreaking in their ability to fully manage a station with Artificial Intelligence.
We also invite new individual and corporate investors to become involved in our business expansion plans, which we intend to grow rapidly over the next three years.
